SimReady Foundation Spec and Pre-Validated Content
Provider:NVIDIA (SimReady Foundation / AOUSD)
Official entry point for the SimReady specification and validation tooling: requirements, features, profiles and validation, plus pre-validated sample content.

- L2 · Semantic & material ready
- Rationale
- The standard defines requirements, features, profiles and validation; the content layer ships pre-validated samples that typically reach the semantic and material tier, hence L2.
- Scale
- 1,000+ pre-validated assets and samples (The NVIDIA glossary describes the content layer as "1,000+ pre-validated assets" for Isaac Sim 6.0 — a different count from SimReady Central 2,000+/3,599; not merged. Checked 2026-10-24.)

Why it is listed
SimReady is structured in three layers: standards (specification and validation), developer tooling (CAD to USD, URDF/MJCF/FBX/OBJ/glTF to USD, automatic MDL material assignment) and pre-validated sample content.
Readiness assessment
An asset is described by requirements (individual USD rules such as correct scale or physics), features (the simulation effects those requirements enable, e.g. graspable), profiles (bundles of features per asset type) and validation checks.
Practical notes
For pipeline vendors, reference runtime tests can be embedded into authoring tools so that plausibility is checked before an asset leaves the authoring stage.
