Grundfos Pump CAD & BIM Assets
Provider:Grundfos
Grundfos's Product Center offers free per-model CAD/BIM drawing downloads, with BIM assets as type catalogues covering all variants and a BIM Apps add-in for Revit.
At a glance
- Readiness
- L1 · Rigid-body ready
- Rationale
- The Product Center provides free per-product CAD/BIM drawing downloads (multiple CAD formats selectable, packaged as a zip), plus BIM assets supplied as type catalogues and a Revit plug-in, so pump geometry yields extractable mass and collision shells, hence L1; the models are exterior pump and mounting-interface geometry, with no internal fluid mechanism or hydraulic simulation parameters.
- Scale
- Covers the CR/CR Everts, NB/NBE, SP/SPG, TP and MP pump families and supporting products; on each Product Center product page the CAD/BIM drawings section lets you select the CAD formats you need and download them as a zip, BIM assets are supplied as type catalogues (one model holding all variants of that type together with its specification data), and the Grundfos BIM Apps can be downloaded to insert BIM content directly into Autodesk Revit. (The download flow (select formats on the product page CAD/BIM section, then a zip), the meaning of BIM type catalogues and the BIM Apps inserting into Revit all come from Grundfos's official 'How to access BIM assets fast' guide; product pages additionally document the per-model CAD drawing download. No total per-vendor model count is published, so coverage is stated by pump family and delivery form. Checked 2026-11-01.)
- License
- Proprietary but free — CAD and BIM assets are free for engineering design and selection; the intellectual property belongs to Grundfos and the assets may not be redistributed or used outside design. Assets are delivered as type catalogues in which one model covers all variants of that type, so the exact variant suffix must be matched when a specific build is intended; hydraulic parameters (head, flow, efficiency curves, motor power) must come from the official product catalogues and selection tools rather than from the model.

Why it is listed
Pumps are the most numerous rotating machines in water, district heating and process plants, and each one is a heavy, spatially constrained body that has to be placed on a foundation, in a pump room or inside a skid. Grundfos is one of the few pump manufacturers that publishes its own CAD and BIM data per model, with the selection metadata attached, which makes it directly usable for layout work rather than a placeholder block.
Readiness assessment
Product pages expose CAD/BIM drawings in selectable formats delivered as a zip, and the BIM assets come as type catalogues — one model that holds all variants of that pump type together with its specification data. A Revit plug-in can also be downloaded to pull content straight from the product database. Geometry gives extractable mass and collision shells, hence L1. The models are exterior pump and mounting-interface geometry with no internal fluid mechanism and no hydraulic parameters.
Practical notes
Find the pump family in Products & services, open the specific product, then use the BIM tab to pick the standard and download the archive. For a one-off pump, the CAD drawings folder gives the same content as a zip of the CAD formats you tick. Note that a type catalogue covers every variant of a type: when a specific build matters — different impeller, motor size or material set — match the model suffix before using the geometry. Take head, flow, efficiency curves and motor power from the official product catalogue and selection tools, not from the mesh.
